2026 Costs at a Glance

Part A premium

Most people pay $0. If you buy Part A, up to $565/month. If you paid Medicare taxes for 30-39 Quarters, the premium is $311 in 2026.

Part A hospital and inpatient deductible

  • $1,736 per benefit period
  • Days 1-60: $0 coinsurance 
  • Days 61-90: $434/day 
  • Days 91+ : $868/day per lifetime reserve day 

Part B premium

Most people pay $202.90 each month (or higher depending on your income). 

Part B deductible and coinsurance

$283. After your deductible is met, you typically pay 20% of the Medicare-approved amount for most doctor services (including most doctor services while you're a hospital inpatient), outpatient therapy, and durable medical equipment.

Part C premium

Part C monthly premium varies by plan

Part D premium

The Part D monthly premium varies by plan. Maximum deductible is $615/year. New for 2026: Out-of-pocket costs are capped at $2,100-once you hit this limit, you pay $0 for covered prescriptions for the rest of the year.
